In Literature and Emotion, we are devoted to improving our writing skills by thinking about writing in new and exciting ways. Every week we’ll do a little bit of writing to connect with one another and hone our communication skills.
Major assignments in this class will be focused on improving our analytical technique through close reading practice and experimenting with new technologies to develop complex, comparative arguments. Don’t be afraid to get creative!

Song Lyric Analysis
This short and creative assignment is designed to get students thinking about how language and emotion are connected.
Short Paper
This assignment is designed for students to practice their very close reading skills, important for any field of study.
Final Paper
This research assignment is designed for students to think about new ways to be interdisciplinary and show mastery of the course content.
