Week 1 Progress

Well done, everyone! You made it through the first week of Literature and Emotion — I hope you’re having a good time so far.

In our first week we discussed some exciting recent developments in neuroscience via Damasio, LeDoux, Colombetti, and a few others (especially if you went digging in the optional readings). Now that we’ve come to the end of the week, I want to know: how was your reading experience this week? Especially if you’re not a science person, did you find these readings at all challenging? In what ways? What, if anything, surprised you about these readings? What main points from these readings do you think you’ll carry forward with you in the class? Do you have any lingering questions?
